According to the website above, the theoretical limit is 151mph, which sounds about right, since a Chevy Malibu with a 2.0 turbo tops out at about the same speed. This is also in line with the numbers on the speedo going slightly higher than the car is actually capable of. Now if we could just get a tune to eliminate the limiter, we'll be ready for some track days!

What kind of track could possibly have a long enough straight for a Ford Fusion to get anywhere close to 151mph? :undecided:

I maxed mine at 120, maybe 122. It was on a bumpier road and though I doubt it would have gone much of any faster, I wasn't going to risk it. It took a while to get from 110 to 120 anyhow. Up to 100 it was super smooth and quiet, and it even managed about 20 mpg at 100 :)

We hit the speed limiter on the dyno in 5th at ~115-120mph...

However, in my experience on the road, it feels like the suspension starts to float and bounce a bit when approaching those speeds. I would be especially careful if exceeding those speeds, unless the suspension has been stiffened, particularly the shocks.

The ride is great on these cars, and they handle fairly well, but there is always a compromise.

I wish the fusion had the ground affects that the Lincoln LS had, when you went faster the car hugged the road more, the suspension stiffened and the steering was more pronounced.

120?

I had my 2.5 se on rt 70 headed to the jersey shore and decided to open her up for the first time and got to 136 mph?? im pretty sure I would have gotten the speed governor kickback if it was set to 120 mph

if its done on a track I see nothing wrong with an adult wanting to take a risk to have some fun in their car. My 07 v6 back when I had it did 122 before I got some lift that made me back off its certainly no ferrari not by todays standards that said thats about as fast as my buddy would do in his 308 so....

Car and Driver and Motor Trend somehow seem to make every ford slower than any other online test and review Ive ever read, and then they glorify Chevy, maybe im crazy but alot of my ford friends said the same thing. Tired of seeing them bash Ford for lame things, partially why me and my dad canceled our subscriptions. That being said, my 2007 awd mkz apparently is limited to 127mph, never tried to find out though.

Fun!

Had my bro in his car sitting at a cross road with a radio making sure there was no one going to turn on or turn out found a nice stretch of pavement just outside of the city a couple months back and got it up to 195km/hour before I had to force myself to slow down the road wasn't as long as I would have like it . Was nice and smooth!

I have a 2013 Titanium AWD, with a X4 Tuner 93 Octane and a CAI only… and I easily get over 120 still pulling hard. Never been over 130 but still has plenty more in it. On a 1/4 mile drag, I ran a 14.5, stock is supposed to be 16.1.
