I just got the Centric Posi-Quiet ceramic pads. no dust, good grip

 

Advance auto parts's wearever platinum. Lease dust, includes hardware and grease. Also contains more ceramic than any other pad on the market. Ive tested them and believe in them.

 

Just out of curiousity, are the stock oem pads semi-metallic or ceramic?

 

mine looked semi-metallic... but I bought the car used at 40K... hard to say if they were factory but they looked like it.

I love the ceramic... will never go back to semi-metallic. so much more grip in my opinion.. but I also put slotted rotors on mine at the same time.

 

For a daily driver any premium pad from a name brand (e.g. Raybestos Advanced Technology) or store brand (e.g. AutoZone Duralast Gold) will serve you well and outperform the stock pads.

 

Yeah Im thinkin either the centric posi-quiet ceramic or Akebono ceramics. Any negatives on using ceramics on my stock rotor?

No, they are semi metallic. You are looking way too in depth into it. Just get what you want and youll be fine. Fwiw i usually go centric or akebono.

did you find out whether the ceramic pads would be ok with the stock rotors? or did you change your rotors aswel?

 

I just figured it be okay to switch over to ceramics. I'm still using the stock rotors. From what I read, the Akebono ceramics are compatible with my Milan. I post back my review of the Akebono when I get a chance.
