Got in a fender-bender in a parking lot Friday and damaged the driver's side corner of the rear bumper. Anyone know how much a new rear bumper cover for a V-6 will cost? Any other sources where I can come up with one cheaper?

Hi Randy. :wavey: I am sorry to hear about your accident, but glad it was minor and no one was injured.

Unless I missed the information somewhere, you need a rear bumper cover for what? An MKZ, a Fusion or a Milan? Makes a difference.

Team Ford Parts Online: Lincoln MKZ rear bumper cover - $486.38. Mercury Milan - $486.38. Ford Fusion - $464.16. These are unpainted.

For a cheaper price than that, off the top of my head I would say try to find one in a salvage yard which was in a front end collision, leaving the rear bumper undamaged. Of course, unless you are really the lucky type, it will still be a different color and need to be repainted.

I am sure someone else may have a cheaper source, so give it time.

Good luck!

I think I've found one in black within driving distance for $250.00, but they say it has "scratches" on it--no pictures to examine it. I will probably have to wait on a Christmas bonus next week before I go pick it up.

Didn't even notice, and with only 9 feedback I would stay away!

Good luck on finding a cheap one. I just bought one from ford for $623.xx and it was painted and installed for around $998 total counting cover price. That rear bumper is highway robbery. It was barely touched and it busted. Had about an 18" crack in it.

It's a typo... He put Ford Fusion, but I think he meant Ford Focus. It looks exactly like a 2005-2007 Focus rear bumper.

C'mon Ford guys, you should be all over this stuff. ...kidding! :p
