When this starts happening to me, I usually find washing the inside of the windshield with WINDEX helps. I think its from the dust buildup because the car doesn't have a true cabin filter.

Of course making sure that your cooling/AC is not going through your DEFROST vents is also important. I have overlooked that, before.

I have seen the same thing happening, even without A/C and windows open. It's pissing me off. I have seen a product by RainX that is called FogX (I believe), which you apply to the inside of the windshield and it works like spitting on your goggles before you go swimming. I think I'm going to get a pack of it. It really sucks too because I just bought some Invisible Glass cleaner and it looks so good for that first day before it fogs up to hell.

I wonder if what you're noticing as "fog" is infact a larger than normal amount of residue that builds up on the inside of the windshield. I've noticed it on my new Fusion. I've had it for about 6 weeks and have cleaned the inside windshield twice due to the summer heat causing some of the those "new car" fumes to emit some residue. I've also cleaned the rear window (carefully..watch that antenna wire and defogging wire) for the same reason. I'm hoping this will diminish over time, at this point I'm not too concerned. Be sure to use an amonia free window cleaner, one that says it's for autos.
