I am going to receive my new 07 Fusion SE V6 company car in a couple of weeks.

I want to do window tint. Is this something I can do myself?

I live in Canada without heat in the garage.

I would not recommend doing tint without a heated garage. It has to be a warmer temp to have the ideal set-up and workability. I would do yourself a favor and try to find a shop that will do this for you. I would imagine that the rear window is a pain to do.

I would certainly have a shop do it. It always comes out much better. Rear windows are a bitch to do yourself. ;)

Also, many shops will warranty it for life. My previous car got dings in the windows and the shop I got it done at replaced it for free.

Go pro-I am. Only takes them maybe half a day whereas doing it yourself could take much longer and be a disaster. Also so long as you stay within legal limits they'll warranty it for the life of the car (they won't if you have them go beyond legal limit) also if you go somewhere that uses something like say 3m you will have them all over the country to support your warranty

I took mine in for tint and this woman and her brother install just like lens crafters, "Tinted windows in about an hour". The great thing is you can sit there and watch them do it. I was in at 10:05 a.m. and driving home at 11:10a.m.......awesome!! They contract with all the Ford dealers in town and have done about 300 Fusions. They have it down to a science. To top it all off....guess how much?...with lifetime warranty....................$120! You gotta love that.

Had mine done a few days ago. Took them about five hours, they had a nice shop and are very nice guys with a great reputation and do tons of fords incuding fusions through local dealers. My ford dealer recommended them. The tint looks great and should really help out with protecting my interior and myself from the sun however I'm having the very back window done (wasn't done right) and two other windows have minor flaws I want fixed also.

I had mine done at the dealership - the 3rd brake light really just pops off pretty easily. Take the light out of the housing and poke up on the two plastic fasteners from the trunk that hold the light in place and it comes right on out I believe. I watched the guy and it took him less than a minute to get the thing out.
