a friend of mine is looking into a fusion, as long as he can get a manual transmission. Does anyone know if fusion uses a mazda tranny ?

I'm not 100% sure but I bet money its the same. Both cars with be sporting the same HP/TQ specs for the 06 models.

Yes, it's the same G5M.
