well I've decided on the wheel for my fusion   :D.  I was going to go with 18" then decided to go with 17" since it's a little easier to find an all weather type Tire that will work well.  living in Colorado all season type tires come in handy any time of year.  in the middle of July it can be 90 degrees in town and you could get snowed on in the mountains going over the right pass   .  here's a link I hope works to show the wheel.  they will be in next week, then I'll take some pictures after they are mounted.

Get the 17's. From an economical standpoint there are more choices for 17" tires and the overall diameter is the same @ 25.4 inches, with the exception of Pimp Daddy "ILIKEFORDSTOO" who went with the steamroller series and went with a 1.5 " taller tire. Tasty choice junior, With the added weight and overall diameter you chewed up the horsepower and turned it into a Pinto with big wheels. Do you have a soup can muffler on your car yet??

All he offers to the site is "I have big wheels". "Pimp my looks, your wheels suck". I commend that when they are new and you like them, but we all know what you have and how you think of anything lower than 20's.

Don't bash the ambition and dreams of others that have different, and frankly 'better' taste. Didn't your mother teach you; "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."?

I'd go for it, like I said again. Nice lip on those, and they'd look killer on the Fusion.

thanks swoop1156.  the guy at Discount is like family, my nephews brother in-law.  we talked along time on the  pros & cons before I decided on the 17"s.  he said if I went 18" or bigger just keep the 16"s around to trade off and on in the bad weather.  I did something like that years ago and it's just a big hassel

the wheels are on... picture is posted.  they are VOXX MISANO'S 17X8,  the tires are KUMHO ECSTA AXS  245/45/17.  they seem just fine so far, the ride is a little rougher, and no rubbing.

what size tires do you have on those 17's? I don't know if it's the shadowing or not, but it looks like you've got a lot of sidewall there. I've got the stock 17's.... lookin to do a +1 or +2; the 20's just look abnormally large, and, if I go to aftermarket rims, I want to go slightly larger to have a lower profile tire.

245/45/17.  it's also an all season type tire.  might come in handy today since it is snowing here.  I also had mentioned to the salesman (my nephews brother in-law) I wasn't sure I was going to low the car any.  now I'm thinking maybe an inch.  I've never lowered a car before.

lowering this car is a pain in the a$$ if you have never done it before have the pro's do it. the front is the hard part since its under alot of pressure the rear is easier.

thanks, I'm no mechanic, that's the way I would go.  got to take care of a little lower front end damage it got in a parking lot 1st.

lowering isnt hard............ but a high quality suspension kit that has been engineered to perform well.... i suggest somewhere in the neighborhood of a 1.5" drop :)
