Hey there, names J.C. and I'm new to here with this being my first post/question.. I just recently bought a 2012 Fusion SE 2.5L that I am trying to make more presentable for my wife to drive and have already switched all the interior lights to LEDs, change all headlights and exterior lights to LEDs including switchbacks for turn signals, taken off the old tint and had new tint put on and put window visors on it, have cleaned and steamed the interior, gotten a lot of different interior trim pieces from pick-and-pulls, switched out the shocks and struts, and just got through replacing the front lower control arms last night and have done all this within a month, since I have had it. It's definitely a good project car since I have a 2017 Nissan Altima that I've done the same to but my altima is slammed and sitting on some concave Vossen wheels and I'm pretty much done with it and got it to where I want it so I figured the Fusion would be fun to fix up. Enough about me though let's get to the point so hopefully somebody will help me out. I have a spoiler that is the correct color and fits perfectly on the car, it's not a fusion spoiler though it came off a Milan which I know has a lot of interchangeable parts, the spoiler has a taillight on it so my question is what have people done with the third brake light on the trunk when installing a spoiler on a fusion that didn't originally come with one? I know this has had to come up before but I've searched the many fusion forums and can't find anything. It would really look silly have a taillight on the spoiler and directly sitting on another brake light plus the two taillights so is there a piece that goes into the original spot of the trunk light that's painted or have people just had to live with it with no options? Thanks in advance and sorry for the ridiculously long post.

Hmm, I personally would do the open beam style Fusion spoiler versus the lip style of the Milan, but it would look weird having both, with one or the other or both lighting up. Not sure what color car, but an SE should have the painted panel below the center lamp, disconnecting the lights in the one on the trunk and wrapping it, and using the one on the spoiler would probably look the best. I was going to try going with a Milan spoiler just because it has an OEM backup camera, but found a Fusion center lamp with the camera and that is my preference.

Ya this spoiler has the oem back up camera as well which was something else I was wondering about. Do you think that there would be a way to wire up the OEM camera on the spoiler to an aftermarket head unit? The fusion doesn't even have a screen so it doesn't have the backup camera but I was thinking of putting one on it and would much rather go with the cleaner look of the camera on the spoiler than the aftermarket versions that look cheap in my opinion...

It should work just fine. To test the Fusion one I got I hooked it up to my 65 inch TV, a junk yard rear view mirror with the screen, and a 4.3 inch LCD that I was going to mount someplace but really can't find a great place to put it.

the OEM rear view mirror with a 3.5 inch LCD and an aftermarket backup/dash cam (just to show the non navigation method for a backup camera in some Fords, like ours)

I actually have one of those rear view mirrors that turn into a screen when reversing somewhere, probably just thrown into a tote in the garage or a closet somewhere, I just got it and forgot about it a while back because I was thinking it wasn't even worth installing but I might dig it out and test it out, try and figure out how I would get it to work with the OEM camera instead of the little shitty one it came with..

But that was with the spoiler mounted reverse camera that came from the factory on some car? Did you just cut the plastic connection plug off and splice it into the reverse lights or something
Under the TV on the stand you can see the third tail light with the chrome strip from a Fusion SEL, and I cut the connector off the car and just connected it via a shielded RCA cable to my TV. The display in the OEM rear view mirror with the LCD area was just some random camera, yes. I don't know if it a dash cam (probably is), or a rear view camera (probably not), I have a lot of random parts both from the junk yard, and from previous cars/prototypes/tests.
