I know that the owners manual says use 5W20 but I'm not sure what to use. The only thing I do know is that I'm goin to use Mobil 1 synthetic. Should I use the recommened 5W20 or should I use a 5W30 or a 10W30?

I use AMSOIL 0W-30 Series 2000 Premium Synthetic Motor Oil. Only gets changed once a year or 17,500 miles if conditions are brutal. I wouldn't use anything else. :D

Here's link to site where you can choose vehicle: http://www.amsoil.com/scripts/runisa.dll?amsoiloaf:index

bye-bye warranty!
You may want to consider an UOA , that is if there is enough pourable oil left at the end of a 17k run.

I check the oil every 3000 miles due to my skepticism. So far about 6500+ in and the oil is still good! :-D

you mean the oil level? or are you doing a UOA?

I check the oil levels and use a nice clean terry cloth to see how dirty it comes off. So far I've been impressed. It's been in there since November about 8,000 miles now...
