This is what I traded. It was an 03 XLT Sport Trac. I loved that truck but I also hated to feed it. My short trips were getting me about 15mpg. That was even with a high flow filter and some other mods.

I traded in a excellent little car, my '99 Escort ZX2 5 speed. Super reliable, quick and averaged 31 MPG! :D But it was very small inside and noisy on the hwy (no hood or firewall insulation) and after 7 yrs I was ready for a bigger car. My Fusion is so much quieter and comfortable it's almost ridiculous. It's also getting 29 MPG and it's not even broke in yet!

I traded a 2000 Mercedes E430 that I had for about 8 months. Yes it was great and the V8 was awesome, but it had issues. A rattle in the passenger door that refused to be fixed, and the steering made a strange noise. Not to mention it required premium fuel. I was afraid it was about to cost me big to maintain, so I dumped it. I miss the rear wheel drive, but my Fusion is actually more comfortable and has heated seats (not on my Benz that stickered for $55k). My friends and family thought I was crazy, but I usually get a different car every 8-12 months.

My list of cars the last 3 years- Fusion V6 (bought in March), Benz E430 (8 mos), Infiniti I30 (9 months), Benz E320 (3 mos- totalled in accident), Accord (11 mos), Focus ZX3 (10 mos), Passat Wagon (hand me down from my wife). I usally buy a used car, drive it for 6-8 mos, put it on Autotrader for what I paid for it, and sell it. I was able to break even or make money on all but the Benz, which is another reason I dumped it (traded for the Fusion). I decided to go new to make myself keep the car for at least a couple of years.

Overall I liked the E320 the most. The Fusion is second- if it was RWD, probably a very close second.

traded in my wifes 01 explorer XLS that we got bent over on 2 years ago. family dicount and 0% interest on the fusion so even though we had to roll over 5k from the explorer it will still save us money each month with the gas mileage being so much better. on our first tank of gas we've already drivin 341 miles (mostly highway) and still have just under a 1/4 tank left. If we had the explorer we would have had to fill up on teh way home instead of getting home, driving another 50 miles and still having 1/4 tank left. I love this car.

I got rid of a beat up 96 Taurus and I was happy to see it go. The stkinking thing was not starting sometimes and that was really ticked me off. I love the Fusion so life is good now.

I traded in a 2001 taurus that just hit 100K and felt like it was about to get expensive. Still owed a bunch of money on it but didn't mind it when I drove the fusion!

i sold my good ol' 1995 saturn SL1 for the fusion. Made $150 off of the car, due to needing work, and threw that into my registration for the fusion. The saturn had 175k on it, and the wheel bearing was starting to go. I just wish i got the black interior man.....dark pearl blue on satin black? man, look....
