lmao matt.

What really grinds my gears? Versions of Internet Explorer older than 8. Seriously world, upgrade already! Im tired of supporting these old fucking broken browsers that cant even render CSS3.

What also grind my gears is the fact that we arent really trying hard enough to fix things like the environmental concerns. Dont get me wrong, im guilty as well.

my Citrix CAG doesn't support IE8

Oh god, don't get me started on Citrix, a more demonic, bloated and buggy program I have never run across (The fact that it means our work computers are therefore frozen on IE6 because of it is just icing on that rancid cake)

WGMG #2 - "Help Desk" support from our funder who are so incompetant that I'm fixing problems that they create :x

What grinds my gears is when someone is driving my car and shifts without using the clutch. That really grinds my gears

That's why my GF isn't allowed to drive my car anymore.

WGMG: The 16 year old girls that got a new car from daddy then proceeds to call it their own and think that they are the shit because their daddy bought them a 50,000 car because they bitched and moaned and their weak as parents didn't beat the shit out of them when they didn't shut the f**k up about how all their friends got one.

Re: What Grinds My Gears

WGMG: Theater etiqutte again.

True story. My brother-in-law, his GF's brother and I all went to see 300. Well right behind us as an idiot older guy (maybe 30) with his 10 or 11 year old daughter. Yeah, seeing 300. Winner right there. Well for the first 45 minutes of the movie his daughter is constantly asking him "Daddy, what are they doing? Daddy did that man just kill the other man? Daddy is that sex?" Neither are whispering. All three of us, plus everyone within earshot you can tell is fuming. Finally my brother-in-law, arm in sling turns around and asks him to please be quite. His response "Hey buddy. My daughter is having a hard time figuring out what is going on. So you shut up and turn around"

The talking continues so my brother-in-law again asks him and his daughter to shutup "Buddy, you want to take it outside. My daughter is 11, don't tell her to be quite" At that point my brother-in-law and I both got up and stormed out of the theater and grabbed the manager who came back in and calmly explained to the guy that "You need to be quite during the movie so others can enjoy it. If you can't then please take yourself and your very young daughter and leave the theater. A refund will not be given. If you can't do that I'll have to call the police and have them escort you out."

About 15 or so people clapped.

After a good minute of muttered cursing they actually shut up for the rest of the movie.

Re: What Grinds My Gears

Nice  Who brings an 11 year old to see a movie like 300 anyways!!

Theres another WGMG: People who bring kids to see R rated movies!!

True story, me and a group of friends were going to see Beer Fest. And we almost get hit by some soccer mom who doesn't know what the heck a red light is, and we see that the van is full of 10-12 year old girls. Well we get into the theater and get our seats, then no more than 3 minutes later here come the group to see Beer Fest...a movie about getting drunk....for those of you who havn't seen it within the first 5 minutes of the movie there is probably 4-5 sets of boobs already exposed. And it just gets better from there. These people SAT THROUGH THE ENTIRE MOVIE!!! WTF I was soo annoyed when the mom kept telling them to cover their eyes every ten freaking minutes!

One couple brought a couple of 5 or 6 year olds to see Taken. Not the worst movie, but certainly not child appropriate. They kept cover his eyes.

Leave the kid at home or wait for the movie to come out on DVD. Sheesh

WGMG: The assholes at the Cross County Multiplex in Yonkers that take 20 minutes to serves the three people in front who got nothing more than 3 pre-bagged bags of popcorn and 5 sodas. If these morons walked any slower to and from one station to the next, they would stop.

People in this country dont know WTF a yield sign even means. They also do not know WTF to do when the see a roundabout either (concrete circle in middle of intersection) which depends on you knowing when and how to yield.

That must suck!! The cops around here are really cracking down on the yeild signs just before freeway exits. There is no better cutoff than the one the is followed by a cop car going screaming past you doing like 60 in a 25 zone so they can quick catch the guy. It makes me

Re: What Grinds My Gears

I did see Saving Private Ryan with my Dad when I wasn't 17. Course I was 16 and he wanted to show me the movie so I'd get a better idead of just how much war sucks and how horrible the reality is.

Message received.

I certainly wouldn't take/show something like that to a 12 year old though.

Though, I guess I suck as a parent. For Father's day last year I really wanted to see the new Indiana Jones movie...the wife and I took our son to see it. I know not rated R, but PG-13...and he was well under 13...you know, 4 months. I suspect it didn't stick with him. He slept through 3/4 quarters of the movie. (don't worry, it was an 11am showing and there were only 10 people in the theater besides us). :)

Damn well wouldn't take him to see a movie anytime soon. ANY movie. We don't do much TV with him, but we will put on Sesame Street once in awhile...and if he is having a really bad/sick day we will let him watch Pixar's Cars. His FAVORITE thing in the entire world (100 minutes of jam packed shouting of "CAHHH, CAHHH!" with much finger pointing). I love 18 month olds.

Re: What Grinds My Gears

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this story tops them all.

My fiance and I went to see United 93 in the theatres. I can't remember off-hand where we saw it (either Annapolis or Arundel Mills). We're at the part where the plane is being taken over when two homeys walk in and one starts shouting his buddy's name. Someone yelled "shutup" or "get out", but the dude yelled his friends name over 5 more times. My then-girlfriend even yelled at him. The guy was yelling so loud, everyone could hear him and he just kept yelling like his friend would magically appear. Ignorant!

-I can't stand it when people don't return phone calls/emails. Seriously, a 5-second "Yes" or "No" response will suffice most of the time, and people can't even do that!
-My stepmom and her stupidity. I'll leave it at that.
-Bad parents who don't say no to their kids or discipline in any way. I know parents with good kids and I know parents who have the most disobedient, foul-mouthed, spoiled spawns of satan.
-Rush Limbaugh. Shut the fuck up already. All he does is bitch and complain about the left/liberals and yet never has a suggestion on how to improve a suggestions. Kill yourself and take that cunt Ann Coultier with you.
-VH1. How many garbage "reality shows" are you going to create?

I've got more, don't worry. :)
