I have the 2006 Fusion S. I couldn't get the SEL. I want more power for it, since it is only a 4 cyl. What can I do? I am an amateur when it comes to engine mods. All I know how to do it perform the regualr maintenance: change oil, filters, etc. I have heard of the cold air intake. Can that be used?

Trade it in for a V6

no v6 needed, just education. it seems to me your in need of engine dynamics 101. Seeing as though the quest for power is generally the same in every car increase the amount of air your bringing in, give it the right amount of fuel, make sure it's detonating at the right time, and make sure it's exiting the motor in the most efficient way possible. obviously im being general, but if you go to how stuff works.com or wikipedia learning how motors make power will give you an idea of how to make your car faster...and then its all a problem of findind the right parts for your vehicle, and being able to get that power to the ground efficiently. happy researching
