I have a 2011 Ford Fusion with a 2.5 I bought an engine out of a 2012 Ford Fusion 2.5 the variable valve solenoid is different can I just change the plug will it run fine?

Oh, a mid year change. You need to keep the VVT's that are in the engine, and swap the connector on the harness for it.
