I really wish i didn't have to but I'm just seeing if there's any interest in a like new Valentine One radar detector. I bought it $400 new from valentine1.com, which is the only place to get it. Purchased in July(of 06). It's Version 1.8, the latest and the greatest currently available. Perfect condition. Will come with windshield mount; visor mount; lighter adapter; power cord, coiled; power cord, straight; direct-wire power adapter; wiring-harness connector; owner's manual; interlocking fastener; spare suction cups for windsheild mount.This is seriously the best radar detector on the market today, no question about it.

I'm in kind of a jam and really need the cash ASAP. Used versions 1.7's, which is the model previous to the one I am selling, are going for minimum $300 on eBay. Needless to say getting a version 1.8(which I am selling) for the price of a 1.7 is a good deal.In fact, you'd be strapped to find a better deal . Price is $310 with free shipping in the US and if your in the Dallas area, since it will convenience me even more and I can get my cash quicker, $285 and I'll meet you up.Prices are pretty firm. Pics supplied are from the website. I really do not want to sell but I'm jammed up for cash and luxuries are the first thing to go. It's exactly as pictured on the site, but I will supply pics of my actual V1 if requested. Need this thing to go in a hurry!! Only serious inquiries PLEASE.

You must post pics of the actual item in your possession, not manufacturer/website pics. Please do so today, or this thread will be removed.

I dont know if you'd wanna install these in Canada.

Its a hefty fine from what I understand and not something I would recommend messing with.

Ok I will post pics of the actual detector today when I get home from work. Admins I'd appreciate it if you do not delete this thread today as I am working late and pics wont be up until later tonight(9pm Central time). I do not know about Canada's laws but they are fully legal in the US. Semantics aside, is there any actual interest?

I would prefer to get a money order or cashiers check but I would settle for paypal. The warranty (only 1yr anyways) is only applicable to the original owner and not transferrable. Any other questions? Come on guys I know someone will want to pick this thing up so cheap. Need to sell it in a hurry and Im giving you guys first crack before it hits eBay at a more expensive price.

One more thing, here is a comparo of detectors from V1's website and Car and Driver Magazine. I beleive those numbers were with the version 1.7, and I'm selling 1.8 so make of it what you will:

I don't have anything to do with the sale of this product, but I do have a review of my own about it. A coworker of mine (which happens to own an RX8) and myself went to the last IRL race in Chicago last month driving from Indy. He took his V1 out of his car and put it in mine to use for the drive (because we both drive stupid fast). That thing had to have been the most accurate detector I've ever seen. After the trip I priced them out at $399-429 new + Shipping. I just haven't had the funds to make that purchase yet. But at $310 and free shipping if I had the money I'd be snatching this thing up and not thinking twice about it. Awsome product and worth every penny. That's all I've got...

If I may also chime in...
I've had my Valentine for several years and am very happy with its performance. Had 2 original Passport radars which were made by Mike Valentine(still have them!), but they went obsolete when Ka band came out. I couldn't afford a Valentine at the time and settled for a Bel detector. It was a POS. It was replaced twice under warranty. It broke one more time after the warranty expired, and I'd had enough. Scrounged up the $$ and got the valentine.That price is not bad at all!
