I am unsure if the 3.0 Fusion has the same exhaust as the 500, but wondering if it has the same sort of setup coming from the headers going to the cat? Has anyone removed this in an attempt to gain something?

im not sure that removing that piece alone would gain you much performance, if you think about it, there is a mass of air in the extra tube all the time, so most of the exhaust flow should be hitting that air mass and traveling down the main pipe anyway.
