Well after performing the tsb twice and then replacing the left bank lifters I still have that annoying F***ing ticking. A call to engineering is in order now.

I have had my car in twice for this tapping/ticking type noise in the engine and the Dealer just
tells my wife that there is no abnormal noise found.

It doesn't sound normal to me but what do you do?

I had this TSB done by Marina Ford in Los Angeles and it substantially reduced the ticking. They previously also did it for me on an '04 Taurus with the same Duratec engine, which also had a TSB for this (as did Mazda Tributes, etc.). It also cured my Taurus.
