I was reading the current Motor Trend, and there was an article on the new Mazda CX-9. It has the 3.5L Duratec motor, and the 6-speed Aisin tranny, but it has the ability to do gear select (manual-shift mode). Wonder if there is a way to adapt the Mazda's TCM and shifter into a Fusion...?

Thoughts?
Does the Fusion's TCM support gear-select, but it is just not inside the car?
Would a straight AT shifter-swap from the mazda enable this feature?

Hmmm...

Yea, there is really no reason for Ford not to have gear select in the Fusion, MIlan, or MKZ seeing as how the Mazdas with the same engines have it and Ford owns Mazda. But Ford is stupid.
