I saw a Milan today at the local Lincoln-Mercury dealer. It was a silver premier model and it looked absolutely awesome. I'll get some pics tomorrow if I can. Strangely, the Ford dealer down the street had no Fusions.

Nice pix Futura06.  However, these photos as well as the Lincoln website photos already confirm what I think about the Zepher: ixnay.  The Zepher is a ticky-tacky dressed up and over priced Fusion.  Although, doesn't the Zepher get the new and improved Ford V6 that may or may not be passed down to the Fusion in three or four years?

I saw a black Fusion at the dealer.  I thought the fit and finish weren't bad.  What surprised me was the relatively great height of the car at the rear.  The trunk line nearly approaches my chest.  Backing up (and over) into something seems likely.  The body and wheel arches also stand (typically American) high over the tires.  I like the relatively simple and ordinary dash facade.

I've seen all 3. The Fusion looks the best if a bit bland. The Milan has a big bulbous nose and I hate the taillights. The Zephyr looks like a 5 year old Avalon. Would it kill Ford to make the interiors different? Other than different colors you couldn't tell a Fusion from a Milan from the inside. At least the Zephyr has the classy wood trim, even though it still looks the same. These ain't exactly the home run Ford needs. Overall all 3 are pretty good, but I think that just isn't enough anymore. And the big thing is QUALITY and customer satisfaction, which Ford doesn't have at all.(at least not in the Ford's I drive) Also Ford has a bad reputation right now....Recalls.

I've seen a bunch of them now and for the most part I'm impressed. These cars have no bad angles, and all three have styling features I like. They just look "right." My favorite wheel design of what I've seen so far is Fusion SEL 17 inch design. It has a lot of depth to it and has an almost chrome-like shine. As for the ineriors, I actually have a slight preference for the Zephyr beacuse of the chrome and wood door panels and the higher dash shelf. But the Fusion/Milan interiors are also great and just look more upscale than other cars in the class. Couple gripes about the interior include some rough grained plastic (mainly on passenger side of the dash) and how the cloth upholstery on the Fusion looks thinner than what they use on the Milan or 500.
