He everyone,

we are in need of a 2006 Ford Fusion V6 for development of a set of Shorty Headers and Y-Pipe. The R&D Shop is in Glendale, CA and the car would be needed for about 1 week for the initial go around. After a functioning prototype is ready to be installed, we would need you to return with the car for the installation (about 3-5 hours). We will need to conduct dyno testing of your car before and after the installation of the headers as well.

If you are interested in helping us with this development and receiving a free set of $700+ headers, please send me a private message.

Thanks!

Economies of Scale help cars out like the Mustang. I would be suprised if we sold 50 sets of headers for the Fusion platform this year.

I can only begin to imagine how many sets of headers were sold for the first 12 months following the release of the 2005 Mustang.. several thousand maybe? Do the math... ;-)

I see were you are coming from! But maybe if you were to offer a group-buy I think a lower price would be possible? Be adv there has been almost 1o,ooo Fusions sold last month...I uderstand it might take a couple of months but just a thought! O ya I did also offer my car, I would even dirve from Vegas to drop it off. I emailed you about a 5dys ago?

There is also the possibility that the average fusion driver is less likey to purchase headers than the average mustang driver ..

meaning .. even if Fusion numbers exceed Mustang numbers (probably will) Fusion header sales will likely be lower.

Correct - much harder to sell performance parts for a family sedan than for a sports coupe.

I think that you mean Mazda6 oil pan, not to mention internal's as well. Not worth voiding warranty work on my engine. Read it in the past, and that's where it's gonna stay.

We're still going to develop headers for the V6 Fusion.... There's no doubt about it. Our fabricator just completed prototype work on a set of headers for the V10 BMW M5..... :) Our guy doesn't mess around. Once he has time and free space in the shop, we will need a donor V6 Fusion for about 1-2 weeks. Ideally, we need someone who lives in SoCal and has an alternate mode of transportation, so we dont have to spring for a rental car. The owner of the donor car will of course receive the set of headers and Y-Pipe for free.

Wish I was there. I'd hook you all up. What about asking a dealer or something for a car? You'd never know. Glad to know that they ARE coming.

Will there be a carb sticker on it so it can pass smog?
[/quote]I believe that the headers aren't street legal. For "Off Road" use only, ie: track, autocross and racing. Not for daily driving situations.
