So I went to this shop where they install the leather cover seats made by Classic Soft Trim and I parked next to a Milan which has dark grey leather seats. So I went inside and I over heard the owner of the Milan explaining that he has leather seats on his car but he would like to change it to a two tone colors. This guy's Milan is nice as hell, with 20 inch rims fully loaded, so anyways....I went ouside and waited for the owner of the car to come out and told him if he was serious about changing his leather seats that maybe we could switch car seats because it would be a shame to destroy his leather seats....so he agreed and sunday I will be going to his place and exchange cars seats. I save my self $1200! I am really happy, I though nothing like this could ever happen to me!! :klavergreg:

Re: Does anyone know?

I would think they should be able to swap over, depending on the seat rails, or other options such as are his powered / yours not other minor things like that. Perhaps you should call a dealer and see if the seat rails use the same part number. Just some thoughts

Re: Does anyone know?

The seats were switched couple weeks ago and let me tell you, they get hot than a B*** cause at work there is no shade at all. But at home in the mornings there nice! The fronts seats where easy to switch but the back one's where a pain in the butt so I had to take it to a shop and all they charge me was $50.00. So I think I might be some of the few one's to have a SE I-4 banger with leather seats!

Man, that's a great deal for you. That's the one option that I wanted on my Fusion that I didn't get. Mine was the last 06 on the lot (end of year) so I couldn't be picky. I got everything I wanted except for the leather. You were planning on putting leather installed by CST anyway? Is 1200. the price they quoted you for that?

Yes, It was quoted at $1,199 for the CST and the Katzkin was about the same price. So, If someday you find a Milan leather seats they will fit.

Sweet so leather seats only cost you 50 bucks as opposed to 900 for me as an option, lucky! Leather is definetly the way to go they seem much more comfy/supportive. But they do indeed get warm (and cold in winter) I have black leather to so...

Appearance package seats are probably the best compromise. None of the cheesy standard cloth upholstery, the same sew pattern as the leather seats, and a cloth insert to help keep them from getting too hot. Red stitching on the edges is a bonus!!!

That's one sweet deal you got. Congrats. 8)

You have a pic?

No pics, they are the original dark charcoal factory leather seats that the SEL has. Only they are from a Milan.

Can you tell me how to remove the front seats, was it difficult? I want to take them out and have them redone. The driver's seat is killing my back.

Move front seats full forward. In the middle at the front of each rear seat buttrest is a little black slider. Slide it to the right, lift up on front of seat. Once released from front shove seat towards rear of car and then lift up..Presto. Seat backs are 13mm bolts 4 total front, 4 total back.
