yep....

We had a big rain storm in n.y. yesterday. When leaving work and entering my car i noticed my center-console a little moist...very slightly...I immed. check all my windows-checking wet seats, console, dashboard..door handles--etc--etc...
Then i looked up....My sunshade was closed and i notcied the plastic groover where u pull it back--right behind the plastic was wet. I pulled the sunhade back and started feeling all around the plastic, b/t the roof and under the glass-- a little wet..but not dramatic....

I got home started checking the molding around the sunroof glass top to bottom...and checking any debris on the metal and rubber gasket....all seemed ok...just cleaned around the ruber gasket and roof with a soft tissue....

Last night it did not rain...This morning getting into the car...i pulled back the sunshade and i saw condensation immed on the center spot above the groove/handle opening.. it seems water is building up tight in the center of that and dripping down...BUT- the leak has to come from somewhere in the molding
to do this...

Has anyone yet experienced this yet...any recall...etc..etc....
will call service a.s.a.p...

p.s. wasn't sure if this was right post it section....

The moon roof on our 2007 SEL AWD Fusion doesn't leak - yet. Nothing unusual like what you describe. Sounds like you will (should) be visiting the dealer to have the seals checked out.

I haven't had any issues but am worried I may at some point since my parents did with their explorer during the five years they owned it. I'd take it in to the dealer.

Check your rubber edege around the glass. I had the same problem. And the cause was that rubber edge had a small cut. Your are going to have to play around with that rubber edge until you find that leaking spot. I found it by spreading that rubber with my thumbs.

How did you fix it? Did the dealer replace the rubber gasket? Did the leak stain the headliner?

ok----this is what i did with my sunroof....

being n.y. was going to have a noreaster the weekend....Coming home on friday immed..started working
on the sunroof....
1st i cleaned the the whole inner roof line and and waxed it clean...
2nd. the rubber molding attached to the sunroof needed cleaning and it was dry....
i cleaned it with a damp cloth over and over...nice and easy...the last thing i need is tear in the rubber. There was alot of gunk and dirt all around the rubber...
3rd. Once cleaned i used turtle-wax 2001 super protectant on the rubber..I did let it soak in real good..and repeated the process...and crossed my fingers...

I put plactic bags across my seats just in case...and crossed my fingers....
Well., the storm came sat. night and into sunday and monday....
i kept checking my car and NO-WATER CAME IN...THANK GOD....
I had an appt on monday with ford to have my Cowel to be changed--(bottom part plastic by the windshield wipers--it was rising and not flush to the windshield) also changed my wiper---both not charged....

All went well.....for once....

p.s....Keep the rubber-molding clean and soft to stop leaking....

Hi marl. Yes, assuming your 2019 Fusion is still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty, or an ESP that covers the moonroof, make an appointment with your Ford Dealer to have the issue properly diagnosed and corrected.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
