The moon roof on our 2007 SEL AWD Fusion doesn't leak - yet. Nothing unusual like what you describe. Sounds like you will (should) be visiting the dealer to have the seals checked out.
my 2019 ford fusion lease vehicle during the rain downpour started leaking at the panel for interior lights and moon roof buttons i tried to stuff material in to catch it, Then I noticed over the visor water coming in so it hd to go somewhere I don't know the entry source. Will cntact Ford in the a.m..yep....
We had a big rain storm in n.y. yesterday. When leaving work and entering my car i noticed my center-console a little moist...very slightly...I immed. check all my windows-checking wet seats, console, dashboard..door handles--etc--etc...
Then i looked up....My sunshade was closed and i notcied the plastic groover where u pull it back--right behind the plastic was wet. I pulled the sunhade back and started feeling all around the plastic, b/t the roof and under the glass-- a little wet..but not dramatic....
I got home started checking the molding around the sunroof glass top to bottom...and checking any debris on the metal and rubber gasket....all seemed ok...just cleaned around the ruber gasket and roof with a soft tissue....
Last night it did not rain...This morning getting into the car...i pulled back the sunshade and i saw condensation immed on the center spot above the groove/handle opening.. it seems water is building up tight in the center of that and dripping down...BUT- the leak has to come from somewhere in the molding
to do this...
Has anyone yet experienced this yet...any recall...etc..etc....
will call service a.s.a.p...
p.s. wasn't sure if this was right post it section....

Hi marl. Yes, assuming your 2019 Fusion is still within the 3 year/36,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty, or an ESP that covers the moonroof, make an appointment with your Ford Dealer to have the issue properly diagnosed and corrected.my 2019 ford fusion lease vehicle during the rain downpour started leaking at the panel for interior lights and moon roof buttons i tried to stuff material in to catch it, Then I noticed over the visor water coming in so it hd to go somewhere I don't know the entry source. Hey! I am having the same problem with my 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Like exact same. What did they figure out on this? Hi Jessi and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. The usual first/main suspects would be blockages in the moonroof drains. So check them first.Hey! I am having the same problem with my 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Like exact same. What did they figure out on this? (I have no warranty left on mine)
Hello! Checked the moonroof drains and both appear to be draining normally. My dad suspects a windshield sealant leak up top? But would that really allow water to come in like that? I only get leaks for torrential downpour so I'm concerned it might just be a design flaw? Visually it looks like if too much water is in the drain it can just drain into the headliner but the water seepage is not right around the moonroof. I honestly don't know who to take it to to have the drains checked for a leak (just because they work, doesn't mean they aren't leaking) is that a glass installation company? I guess they could also check the windshield?Hi Jessi and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. The usual first/main suspects would be blockages in the moonroof drains. So check them first.

Hi tumoraider and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. Not 100% sure I understand your question, but I'll give it a try. Yes, water is meant to get past the outer glass/sheet-metal areas and into the "track"/trough around the sunroof opening, where it is then supposed to enter the drains, into the drain tubes, and exit down below the vehicle.I have a question. Do these sunroofs leak into the drain track that runs around it. I had some water in my 2013 fusion only on the driver side. I cleaned out the drains. Is there supposed to be water when it rains in the drain inside the car? or if i have water coming into the drainage should I have the car looked at. We did have a massive amount of rain this week. Under a hose i do see some water weeping in. Background. I did pull the headliner down and i do see water coming into the drainage track under a hose not making its way into the car but in the track. is this normal?
You answered my question and i took the correct action to fix it. I was able to pull off the rear drain which seemed to be clogged. Thanks for the quick response. It is appreciated.Hi tumoraider and welcome to the Ford Fusion Club. Not 100% sure I understand your question, but I'll give it a try. If water is getting into the vehicle, the headliner etc., then there is a problem with the drains being blocked, or perhaps a tube/tubes being disconnected from the drain spouts, etc.

I have a 2020 and I went through the car wash and all the sudden water started coming out the control panel on the roof for the moon roof and lights. I don’t see any tears in the moon roof seal and it was closed all the way. I too have had mysteries water on my controls and such but I figured it was just condensation. This water pour was the first time I had been through a cash wash with massive water hitting the roof. To the dealership I will go!yep.... We had a big rain storm in n.y. yesterday.
