good news for those that want an aftermarket stereo, but wish to retain factory steering wheel controls. PAC audio makes an interface to do it. i used the X model, which is a IR repeater, and sends the signal to the head units remote receiver. i mounted the transmitter( a tiny lens) in the center console, just in front of the storage area. setup was easy, and my buttons work great.
