I was gonna put it in my truck, but I was talking to people and the consensus seems to be that my current deck in the truck (alpine IVA-D900) is much better, so I should just buy an add-on nav unit for it, which i did. And since I'm an alpine type of guy anyway I thought that sounded like what i shoulda done in the first place.

oh yeah most definitely. pre-paid for the IVA-W200!! Alpine's where it's at for head units IMO. I'm not an installer or a fiberglassin wiz like y'all though.

how do you plan on installing it? Have you heard if it'll need the pac-tr7 to display video while driving or will they use different technology? I got the mazda steering wheel control adapter, the pac-tr7, and the fullspeed ipod cable for it already, not to mention my modded double din dash kit. Will you be bolting it in somehow? Sorry for all the questions but I've been mulling over how i'm gonna install it, my guy at tweeter is the only guy i really trust round here in car audio and he won't do the video bypass thing, plus they charge a lot, and i'd hate to pay them to install it only to go rip it out to do the video bypass.

My Alpine rep didn't know yet about the video bypass. Hopefully it's the same as my IVA-D310.

My store sells concept. They have a pretty good picture on them. Actually that is the brand of headrest monitors I have in my 3. The only thing is they don't have any satalite radio interfaces or ipod adapters, but for the price you can't beat them.
