Re: Staff Bios
I'm Jim! I'm 25 but depending who I'm with, I act 12 or 45... rarely anything in between.
Alphabet Soup:
I graduated from
RIT with a BS in IT and a minor in American Politics. I currently work in NYC as a BA in IB - GCRM Technology - RDR at JPMC.
Expanded version: I'm a Business Analyst in the Investment Bank, Global Credit Risk Management Technology, Reference Data Repository at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Understandable version: You know in Office Space there was that guy that took the requirements from the customer and gave them to the engineer? Yeah ... that's me ... except I'm also an engineer. And I know more about the business than the customers do. And sometimes more than the developers know! Yet I get paid less than each... what gives? ;-)
I just bought a condo in the Lehigh Valley of PA.
Single. Trying to remedy that now since I've managed to accomplish just about every other thing that's expected of me (education, career, new car, home ownership). Or maybe I'll just start from scratch and really enjoy life!

Love first this time... now taking resumes:
[email protected] ;-)
Uhm.... I have two kittens, Jefferson and Madison. My mom's realized she'll never have grandchildren (kids suck) so she's taken to calling them her grandkids. Good for her! :chuckles:
When I'm not spending my time in corporate America or on a bus, I like drinking! I'm a wine enthusiast and will typically go to several local wineries per month to peruse the new stuff and restock the cellar. When I get burned out from the desk job I'd love to run a winery, perhaps as the wine maker.
I'm also into amateur astronomy. I've got an 8" dobsonian telescope which I haven't used nearly enough since I started working. Now that I live away from the Manhattan lights, I'll hopefully get out more.
I also like travel, and have been very fortunate to have opportunities to visit several countries in Europe, the Bahamas, and about half the states of the US including extensive trips in the four corners region and Northern California. I don't know when or where the next trip will be since I've now got a fabulous mortgage keeping me busy - but depending what the year end bonus brings me, I've got a few ideas.
I like me some television and good movies - mostly drama and scifi, but I love a good comedy as well. West Wing was one of the best shows on TV in my opinion. Now I like Battlestar Galactica, Prison Break, Studio 60 (woooo Aaron Sorkin), Lost, and a few others. I'll also put on an episode of Firefly every now and then because it's just that good! For movies, I can recite Monty Python and the Holy Grail verbatim. I also enjoy the Shawshank Redemption and Requiem for a Dream.
And since everyone else is doing it... for those that don't know what I look like:
