Time for another Senior Member or two! Let's get the discussion started, as always, in a new thread. Mention a member or two and I'll keep track of them in this here first post. When discussion dies down, I will create a votey job and we'll take it from there. Here are the runners-up from last go-round in the summer as well as new additions:

1. SmokinAMD  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=4375
2. brian805  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=4306
3. CC  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=2841
4. CosmicBlueMS3:arrow: http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=18226
5. wino_ii  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=17751
6. Mz3Corkey  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=5042
7. icspots  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=8956
8. ag bullet  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=3941
9. azazel1024  http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=8899

Poll is up - pick two. The Moderation staff has already decided to promote *TBD* because we feel the MS3 crowd needs representation and this is a good member to do the job. Pick two more - if you have a particular candidate you feel needs attention, now's the time to start praising his/her abilities! ;-)

Re: Senior Member Nominations - v2.1 (26 June 2006)

Hi y'all - sorry I didn't find this sooner, but I think we need to have some more nominations before a poll is opened, that way everyone nominated gets the same amount of time to be voted on, and people don't have to change votes, etc.

I'm going to take over Di's first post there in the same style as my last shot at this. Let's get some more nominations - let's get 8-10 if possible that way we can have some good discussions and get 4 new SMs!

Scratch that - going to start a new thread because this poll, too, is screwed up! ;-)

Re: Senior Member Nominations - v2.1 (26 June 2006)

Updated again ... and let's make the poll in THIS thread, rather than recycling old threads that have been completed. I've closed the other poll thread. Let's have a few more names come in, then we can have a poll so all the nominees get the same chance. Sound good?

I've taken the names from the other poll, added them (and links to their profiles) to the first post in this thread. When no more names are coming in, then it's poll time.

Thanks for the new names, Marshall. As I said in the other (now closed) thread:
Glad to see Brad [mz3corkey] on the list finally, though. He really serves as a good "welcome wagon" for new members, and is a good mediator when the rejects were up in arms ... he very calmly can see both points of view, and gets people to calm down. From what I've seen and heard, he also has a lot of respect in the Texas / South Central US area and frequently hosts meets and keeps in touch with the forums and lots of members quite regularly. He'll get one of my votes.
Let's have everyone talk about the pros and cons of all nominees, and add more as needed. For SMs that cannot edit the first post, please just PM a mod or admin who's online to get the first post updated so all the names are in the same place in a timely manner.

I echo Jim's comments about Mz3Corkey (aka Brad):

i suggest icspots or ag bullet, i know them both personally--both of them love the cars, remi (icspots) is a really kewl guy and is def. very passionate about the 3 and has quite a few good ideas and has thrown around some good ones in nc--

ag bullet is the nc go to guy for everything--i would def. throw his name in the pile--he is our resident autox expert, he has helped a number of people with installs, including my horns, anothers members CAI etc--if u need more info about these two particular members throw me an IM or PM

please consider ag bullet (jeb) http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?action=profile;u=3941 (hmmm...well i just noticed he is a Regional Coordinator)

wino_ii is too new of a member imo. I say give him a little time to see what happens. The moderator of the ms3 section doesn't necessarily have to have/own a ms3. It just needs to be someone knowledgeable, ect 8) .

After further reading of wino's post and there negativity I'm leaning towards CosmicBlueMS3. In all honesty I think I just confused the 2. And I'm saying in addition to the 2 new SM's we need one that is a MS3 owner. Like I said I think they need a voice and someone that can post their needs here in the SM section.

is it too late to nominate anyone?  Matt, azazel1024's posts are more informative than anyone I know on this board. I'd like to nominate him.
