I just got my sct flash programmer today. I plug it into the obd2 and go to performance tune, it says to turn key on but do not turn car on which is what i do. It says like loading or something and then i get a weird like powerdown message and it wont work to let me continue. basically i cant tune my car. Is my flasher sposed to say xcalibrater2 or SFdevice because mine is sf device with an xcalibrater2 manual.

Where did you get the tuner from? They should be supporting you. If your device says strategy flasher, it may actually be just a strategy flasher. The strategy flasher is a preloaded Xcal 2, and *usually* only contains base SCT "canned" tunes, and not custom ones. Im not sure what your specific problem is, but its certainly something youll want to take up with who sold you the tuner. Either the tunefile or the hardware is bad.

Well, take it up with Steeda first. If they gave you a tuner with a CAI tune, they are probably just shipping you a Strategy Flasher, with canned tunes. Its most likely NOT custom tuned at all.

You can either take it up with Steeda and get it working right, or return it to them and buy one from us, or just buy tunes from us and use the hardware you have from them. Whichever way you decide to go, let me know and I'll help where I can.

A little background on something I had experienced with Bob's previous post...

I bought a tuner from another source at one time, and I used it for a while. I then bought a tuner from Bob and Jusnes Modified and used it in my vehicle. After a while, I got the idea that I could re-load my "old" tuner with a program for my Dad's truck and give it to him for his birthday.

I contacted Bob and he sent me a complete set of 3, tune files for my Dad's truck and I loaded them onto my first tuner and sent it to my father in the mail. I still had my tuner and programs for my car, and I loaded the truck tunes from Bob, on the device from the "other guy".

Excellent service is Bob's thing -- not to mention a great product. Thanks, Bob!

Is dumb as i feel saying it but the tuner wasnt plugged in all the way, and yes it eventually worked. It has bot cai tune and regular tune, Next mod is intake so hopefully i will see a 1/4 time difference tommorow when i go to the track with the tune.
