Well, like an idiot, I backed my Fusion into my garage door this morning! Got in the car, hit the button for the door opener, & heard it start up. Started the car, put it into reverse and started back without looking--thinking about other things. Something happened with the opener--the door went up about two feet and stopped. I backed the car into the door and bucked the door out about 2 feet in the center. Amazingly, the car suffered no damage except for some light scratches on the paint on the bumper.

What's the best product out there to remove scratches from the paint?

Now my car is stuck in the garage because I can't get the door to go up or down.

Applied some Meguiar's Scratch-X and a little elbow grease, and you can't even see it now unless you get down on your hands and knees. I am going to work on it a little more and it should be good as new. The garage door is a different story--$500.00 to replace! I'm amazed that the car is not dented or damaged in any way!
