Since the factory Audiophile subs are 6x8 and nobody makes 6x8 subs (at least not that i can find) I was wondering if it was possible to replace them with a 8" round sub?

I don't want a box in my trunk so you can hear me 100 yards down the street - just better sound. The other option is to use a good 6x8 coax but I think the 8" sub would sound better.

im pretty sure an 8" sub will not fit in a 6x8 cutout. If it even exists, some mods and or braketing would have to be done.

sternyy may be right. But you could build your own rear deak replacement with 8" cutouts. Seen it done on some of the better installs around here.

You may have to fab a little but these are options for better bass/low end.
