Has anyone come across a replacement shifter knob for the automatic yet?

I see the Zephyr has a leather wrapped one, but the Fusion has a urethane one... cheap feeling

Any ideas if one could get the leather shifter knob from the Zephyr to fit onto the Fusion?

Newbie here, but I have had my Milan Premier V6 for about 2 months now and have wondered about getting the auto shifter knob from the Zephyr as well. I'd also like to swap out the power switches with it too so I'd have auto up and down too!

Anyhow, one of these days I am going to call my local service dep't. too see if a) if it'll fit and b) if they'll order me one (assuming it's priced reasonably)!

I'll keep you posted if I ever bother to do it.

Great site BTW...

First off... Welcome to the site. 2nd I don't think that just swaping the switches will give you the auto up. I am pretty sure that it is either done in by a additional relay or by the computer.

I figured it would be more involved than just switching out the pw switches but I can't imagine it would be that more involved. Of course I have been way wrong before!!!! I am curious though too find out just how much more difficult it would be.

for sub-$20, if this is a relatively simple mod I would love it. It has to be more complex than just popping the old switch off and putting the new one on...

http://www.partsamerica.com/Product...349&SearchFor=Shift Handles - Universal Knobs

I had the chrome one in my hand today......I knew I should have bought it!

No hard feelings and nothing personal, but who ever installs these knobs, that person is a big time ricer. You want something nice, exotic, and you like the way they grip. I think the stock ones look fine. Or if i was to upgrade, I will get some BMW or Mercedes like Billet or Chrome OEM type knob.

But I will never ever go near these Auto Zone, Discounr Auto, or Pep Boys knobs. I leave them for the import tuner ricer guys.

I have a manual shift knob and after 10,000miles in my Milan andits begining to fade and basically fall apart. Any one know of a good swap with either the MKZ or the fusion. If i went aftermarket or from another car make what size would i look for? I hate those universal shift knobs.
