Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the factory radio? Does the current plate just pop off? If so where to make sure you do not damage it?

I have an SEL and I believe that the trim plates are the same and it is very easy to remove. Just pull gently and evenly on the bottom edge of it and it will pop out. It is just held in there with compression tabs and they are easy to remove and put back on. The radio itself is just held in with 4 (12mm I think) screws and there you go.

Had mine out over the weekend to see how much room I had behind and around the radio, pretty easy task.

Ditto- it's real easy. I've had mine off and radio removed over a dozen times. No problems
