According to Blue Oval News production of Fusion, Milan and Zephyr starts August 1.

This type of info is usually very reliable.

There is typically a one to two month gap between Job 1 and the first cars hitting showrooms. So if this is true we should see the first Fusions in the real world by October 1.

Today was supposed to be the start of production but I didn't see anything about it in the news. Maybe they just didn't want to publicize it or maybe the production date slipped. If anything comes out it will be at media.ford.com or at www.autodeadline.com. Please post here if you see anything.

With Ford there is usually a month and half from Job 1 to when the first cars hit showrooms. So far we're looking at a Sep.15-30 time frame for the arrival of Fusion/Milan/Zephyr.

Looks like they're off to a good start. I certainly hope they don't have problems that cause shipment delays. But I'd rather see quality cars come out late then bad ones getting out early and ruining the car's reputation.

Ford put up a press release about North American production for the week ending Aug 7. Since the F/M/Z is the only car they build in Mexico, its easy to tell how many they've built, and it looks like they made only 179 in the first week.
