I have a Fusion V6 TB completely optimized and sitting on my bench right now. The Ford parts are slightly different (Better actually...) than the Mazda parts but are a little cheaper so the Fusion TB prices are lower:

BTW: I really want to get some Fusion test results so I'm offering a 10% discount to who ever can test this 3.0L unit out and let us know how it works. I offer a 100% refund on everything I sell ...

dude I sent you an email through your website. My car is in the shop till the end of next week and getting dyno tuned (so I can actually provide you proof of if it makes a difference). I was trying to buy one ASAP. I was gonna just send you mine for the 65 buck treatment actually. I'll PM you my phone number.

very cool. The more of this stuff I see the more I want to do but its so expensive for such small gains even 4hp seems tough to justify at $225

I used to do ported/optimized/rebuilt TBs for the escort community 6 years ago. A LOT of people wanted them, but not that many actually put the cash forward to buying one. That led me to making a series of how-to DIY so people could see why a quality job did cost a pretty penny. I did mine for $160 a piece, and the TB was smaller, and simpler than the MZR/Duratec4s.

One learns to appreciate those people who do not run a serious business but provide a highly anticipated/demanded service. I feel what he is doing for us is great. He didn't have to touch the Fusion, but he offers his services for us. Take advantage of it, and don't worry about the price, because if you truly want to maximize your car over time, this is one mod that is hard to skip out on, and you never know, sometime in the future, you may not see anyone that offers these services.

Now if Cordova(apologies for not knowing your name TW) were a full fledged business with deep pockets and a strong set of resources, then by all means, criticism is part of the American way of life, LOL.

And I was wondering how the optimized TBs have affected fuel economy improvements? Some cars improve a lot, some gain power, but get the same MPG and so on and so fourth. I tried to make a better educated guess from the 6forums, but that was useless, as most 6s with the mod have a ton of other mods that mix up the results.

I just bought the Thrttle Body from him for my Zephyr. Im going to actually do a dyno run before hand and one afterwards as I was bout to have the car on the dyno for tuning anyway. You guys will definitely be made aware of the results. Im hoping for a solid 6whp across the board on the V6.

P.S. 230 bucks is nothing considering people pay 600 for an exhaust that offers less gains(by itself). Also, if you return yours, you get a 70 dollar core refund and if thats still to pricey, just go without your car for a while and it'll only be a 65 buck labor charge.

Thanks for the positive remarks Crystallas. I'm definately a small single-person operation but understand the limits of what's possible on todays cars to improve performance. I'm confident Talisman will have some positive results, and I offer a 100% refund to anyone that's not satisfied. (I haven't had any returns!) As Talisman mentions, the core exchange refund makes this a pretty cheap mod for some real extra HP.

This is actually the first 'live test' on a 3.0L Fusion, so we'll all be finding out if TB optimization works out well on the Fusion at the same time... Anyone interested in doing the mod themselves can read the How-To that was put together from the first Mazda6 TB optimization.  http://sdbhost.com/cms/docs/TB6optimize.html (Please be careful!)

Or you guys could go all out and buy the modifications that Cosworth offers:

And then just look at all the Duratec stuff because that is really the way to go, no offense to anyone

Here is the Cosworth TB:

That TB will not work nor will the intake as they have throttle cables on them. If i remember right they are for the focus. THe fusion is drive by wire so it has a motor on the side of the TB that gets a signal from the gas pedel to open. No more cable.
