I'm wondering what sort of shifter i could put in my 5-speed Milan. I like it, but it's pretty floppy for my taste. Does anyone make one? I know there are a few out there for the Mazda 6; will they work?

That im not sure. I would venture that the transmission is the same, but again, not 100% sure. If it was me, the first thing i would do was find out if the trans is the same. Then I would start calling the manufacturers, and see if they have input. Sometimes, they have already tested it and could tell you right off the bat.

yeah. i looked at what it takes to swap shiters on a 6 and that looks like a pain! My Mustang was a cakewalk compared to that! I thought FWD was supposed to be easier!

I also like the fact that the Milan has no apparent way to take the center console apart. like it's saying "you WILL break spring clips if you try this."
