Hello,

I own a 2006 Ford Fusion Se. The PCM unit needs to be replaced. The mechanic who is ordering this PCM unit is matching up the correct unit according to my Fusion's VIN number. The mechanic also requested the two keys for my car when this work gets completed. So my question is how long would this type of work take to get completed? Would the mechanic need to do any programming when this PCM/ECU unit gets installed? If so, would this programming need to be done by a Ford dealership?

Thank You

Has to be done by someone that has access to Ford's IDS system.
Will take at least an hour to program the new ECU with your VIN's as-built configuration and to learn the keys.
