Actually I think it looks great like that. Please provide details ie. paint type. Did you remove to paint. Still trying to figure out what "FU" means. Seriusly the black paint on the grill looks better the longer I look at it. Nice job

thanks, i used some krylon (ultra-flat) camouflage spary paint (this color matches the plastic around the fog lights). just clean the grill with some alcohol and tape off the surounding. only sparyed two light coats. Good Luck. as far as the "FU".............just left it there for laughs. it means what you think it does..hehe

Thanks for the picture and info.  Have you ever seen the original "Odd Couple"  The FU reminds me of that.  Next we'll a Fusion that will have"FU2" on the back.  See what you started....I love it.

So...what happens when you take off the front plate? Should have maybe removed it before painting?

I was thinking the same thing. Not only that, it's just spray paint, it will flake in time. Not that it looks bad, but you can already see on the edges that it's not going to stay. Plus spraying over the chrome without sanding it, gives the spray paint nothing to stick too.

It's a quick, easy, cheap way to get the look. Just save the coin and do it right the first time.

yes, i could of sanded it but, in case i didnt like the look later on i could just apply acetone and removed the paint.....as for the paint chiping off......maybe.....but the max speed on roads are around 40mph so it shouldn't be a problem. If it is, and I continue to like it....ill replace it with a black chrome grill.

That black looks great. But if your fog light bezels where chrome, then it would look bad. :exnbp:
