I've been battleing the same problem also. I think I have the solution now though. I want My grille and head/tail lights to look like blue chrome to contrast the tungston silver paint! I beleave a good hot knife would open it, so I can paint it blue candy. As far as closing it air tight You can buy a plastic welder!

does anyone know how to get them apart and will they seal again or will they fill with moisture. I want to do something similar to this.
