ISSUE:
Some 2006-2007 Fusion and Milan vehicles equipped with a 2.3L engine, and either a manual or automatic transmission, may exhibit excessively low idle RPM, with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) off. Vehicles equipped with a 2.3L engine and automatic transmission may also exhibit engine over-speed (noise) due to delayed transmission up-shift, in addition to the low idle RPM.
ACTION:
If the MIL is on and/or DTCs are present, follow normal diagnostics, instead of this TSB. If above symptoms are occurring with the MIL off and no DTCs are present, or normal diagnostics did not reveal a root cause, reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration.

ISSUE:
Some 2006 Fusion and Milan vehicles may exhibit a speaker buzz or a squeak / rattle from the door panel area. Speaker buzz or squeak and rattle noises may be caused by the door panel.
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

ISSUE:
Some 2006 Fusion/Milan vehicles built before 12/9/2005, equipped with a 2.3L engine and automatic transmission, may exhibit a tip-in hesitation within the first 30 seconds after starting. The concern may occur when coolant temperatures are between 50 and 100°F (10 and 38°C).
ACTION:
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration.
