Ain't even mad.

My 2012 Fusion Sport is averaging 24.5 mpg and I got it up to 27 on a 500 mile road trip.

The 2006 Milan is getting about 23.6mpg (smaller engine too)

And I do agree with the EcoBoost vs 3.0 or 3.5 V6. The the 2.0L in my wife's Focus averages 35.2 mpg. That being said, it's slow as fuck.

My bad, forgot to mention it is a 2011 Focus, so it doesn't have the EcoBoost. Just the plain old naturally aspirated 2.0L. Boring engine for a boring car, but we got 39.8 mpg on a 1800 mile cross country road trip.

Almost every manufacturer is using smaller turbocharged, direct injected engines these days. Ford bringing back a 4 cylinder Mustang is no news either, because they had a 2.3L Turbo I4 in the Mustang all throughout the 1980s.

The 3.7L in the MKZ makes 300HP and is the same motor in the V6 Mustang (which has 305HP, and gets 31 MPG highway).
