The Canton Mississippi plant has been a real trouble spot for Nissan. Four of the plant's five vehicles have landed on Consumer Reports' unreliable list,

Among the Canton-made vehicles that landed in the unreliable category of Consumer Reports' study -- which was based on surveys of 1 million consumers -- were Nissan's Armada sport utility vehicle, Quest minivan and Titan pickup, and the Infiniti QX56 SUV. The Altima sedan—also built at Nissan's old Smyrna, Tenn., plant—was the only Canton-made vehicle that was not near the bottom of the list.

"It's difficult to actually put a reason on why they are so unreliable," said David Champion, director of automobile testing for Consumer Reports, a publication of the nonprofit Consumers Union. "But it is a little bit worrying when the worst plant in the U.S. is actually a Nissan import plant."

The last part,  But it is a little bit worrying the worst plant in the U.S. is acutally Nissan import plant! That message alone says they hold up the Import (Domestic) plants higher than other brands

They ARE biased against US brands. Their comment seems to indicate that they expect the worst performing plants to be American manufacturers. To finish their thought, they wonder how a Nissan plan could suck worse than a Ford, GM, or Chrysler plant.

Consumers Reports at one time was an equal-opportunity offender, steering a middle of the road path and bashing the weakness of everyone's designs - toasters, cars, and refrigerators. Now they have a crusade to bad mouth Americans, which plays to the liberal tree-hugging weenies who find fault with everything American and praise everything European and Japanese. I find their magazine garbage, since they perpetuate the image of fairness by enlisting their subscribers for "frequency of repair" information, and the like, getting the same bulls**t from their readers as the crap they promote themselves.

Hope they choke on their rag and their circulation goes to zero.
