This thing better live up to all the hype. Even with all of this talk about it, I still have a feeling it will fall short of alot of it performance specs, numbers, ect.

Hmm. I don't think I like the headlights. Or the hood. It looks... weird. I don't know. The grille is amazing and the entire rear is just gorgeous, but there is just something about the headlights.

If those acceleration and top speed numbers are accurate, I could live with my small gripe lol

Well, given its lap times around the Ring, I think this thing is the real deal. I'd have a hard time forking out that sort of dough for a Nissan, though.

looks like they combined the skyline rear with a 350z front and added a few things
I've always loved the skyline unfortunately not available in the USA, and I love the 350z

Altho not to knock on the awesome car. I love it! But those times are only achieved with the "launch control". Look at the trap speed also. The viper and vett are faster through the traps. I still cant wait to see one rolling around the streets.

Only a limited number are coming the the states...anyone will be hard-pressed to find one at the $70,000 MSRP.

But can you by a comparable Vette or Viper for $70k?
Hell yeah - you can buy a gently used Vette Z06 at CarMax with less than 10K miles for 56K right now:
So in 2012, it'll be pretty tough to modify cars and return them to stock for warranty work ? 2 years ago, one of our company pick-ups at work was in an accident and I had to remove the box for the insurance people. I can't remember if it was an F250 or 350 though. So, they're already out there.

Unfortunately that's what it's coming down to...If I remember correctly some BMW's (if you subscribe to the service) and GM's 'On-star' can do limited black box functions right now. Even with the current Fusions the Airbag module is programmed to your specific vehicle. It has to be programmed with your shift points, options, tranny and engine type. It's basically a 'blackbox' on a smaller scale as it's info can be downloaded and viewable after an accident. It monitors and records your cars vitals for a short amount of time before, during and after a severe enough impact. It will give such info as speed, seat belt use, brakes applied and several other details at point of impact.
Between the mandated blackboxes that are coming and the red light/intersection cameras you won't be able to pick your nose while driving without Big Brother knowing about it.

Saw one yesterday when going to lunch. Didn't like it at all. I'd rather drive a beamer...for 20-30k less. And I still think an M3/M5 looks better, but that's me...just not my cup of tea.
