Downloaded 3 new and improved tunes for my XCal2 tuner from Bob tonight, for my 2.3 manual.  These new tunes all retain the great part throttle / low and mid-range characteristics of the "old" 2.3 tunes, with enhanced high rpm performance.  I have not been able to run a similar old and new tune back-to-back to report on the true differences as of yet, but will do so tomorrow.  Too many variables have changed since my drive home from work with the old calibrations...large temperature drop, less humidity, no AC required.  So I will do a blind test tomorrow with the old 91 performance tune and the new before I report on the exact benefits.  But so far, I can only describe the upper rpm ranges as being even cleaner / healthier than before.  It is similar to the difference between a properly jetted 2-stroke high-performance engine and one that is a bit off in the jetting department.  Zing...Zoom...any of you 2 strokers know what I am talking about.  Funny, with Bob's tunes and the smooth nature of this engine, people at work who ride with me think I have a V6 under the hood.  That is quite a compliment since many of them drive vehicles with 300+ hp V8's.

Oh yeah, customer service from Bob was outstanding, as usual, keeping me updated - for free - on all of the latest program developments for my car.

Maybe we should get it on the dyno. I can help you schedule something if interested. We are doing a V6 Zephyr tonight.

I am finding it difficult to get less than 27 mpg with Bob's 91 octane program, with my I4 manual. This is mostly stop-and-go driving (stopping every mile or so for a traffic light - 40mph between lights). Granted, I am not flooring it at every stop light, but for having to stop 60-80 times during a 90 mile round-trip commute, those figures are not too bad! About 1mpg above my average with the stock tune in similar driving conditions. This is an average of over 400 miles with the performance tune. I switched over from the "torque" tune to the "performance" tune earlier this week to see what kind of mpg I could pull. Nice! My best stock average was 26.5 when I absolutely babied it under similar circumstances. Now I am well above that number even when I want to pull that ricey Honda :)

Thanks to all of you that have input info on the tunes. I have a V6 3.0 Fusion and have been working with Bob to ensure I give him the correct info. I have sent him many e-mails and he has replyed quickly and with pics on some to help me get what I want. To me making a change like this on a new car can be a scary thing, but after reading all the posts and talking with Bob (thru e-mail) I feel good about getting my car tuned. I will post my input as to how I like the new feel and responce as soon as I get it. By the way I went to http://www.jusnesmodified.com and got some strange page, I have a link to the page and it has worked fine before, any ideas?

We have been having some server issues late yesterday, and apparently this morning too... we are working to restore it as soon as possible. If you are ready to order however, I can process it through emails, if the site takes too long to restore.
