Well i picked up a new Stereo tonight for the Fusion. I was at work (2nd job is Best Buy) and we only had one of these left so had to grab it got it for $155 for the deck $5.50 for harness and $5.00 for mounting bracket. Got a Kenwood DPX-302 Double Din CD/MP3 deck. The wife asked me what wanted for our aniv so i will show her this tomorrow morning  . I am going to install it Wed when i take the day off(susp parts coming in tomorrow ). I was wanting to get a touch screen DVD player but just decided i did not need it and this would work well for me when i go to upgrade my factory speakers and install an amp and 6x9's in the rear deck.

What is the point of having a separate remote control unit when the head unit is in an easily accessible place in the dash? More distraction and crap to keep track of.....

[/quote]it doesn't cause more distraction, if anything it helps reduce it...

to use the controls on the stereo itself you need to take your eyes off the road to look for the button you want to push. with a remote, after you use it a few times you quickly memorize the button locations (just like your TV remote at home ;)) and you can control all functions without taking your eyes off the road at all.

Yeah, that does look good. To respond about the remote, a remote is convenient. I like to drive with my arm resting on the center armrest. I can operate the radio with the remote without having to stretch my arm out, and also as mentioned, you can keep your eyes on the road. I have a Pioneer in my truck with a remote.
