Hello!
I just purchased my new Dark Blue Fusion SEL-Loaded! This is my first Ford product, coming from VW and Honda....I hope it treats me right! Other than dismal gas mileage right now, I am really happy!! :D

Thanks! I got the V6. It's only averaging about 16 mpg right now...I'm trying to baby it, but I have had to punch it once or twice! I can't believe I like it as much as I do!

Both the fuel economy and performance will improve after 4000 to 5000 miles. The Duratec engines are very tight when new, and aren't too "willing" to be pushed. When it loosens up, you'll be impressed with the behavior.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I've reset the computer several times. I guess I'll just be gentle and things will improve in time.

Now, time to hook up my subwoofer again!

Congrats on your new car.

I am very curious to ask, what made you switch to the Fusion?

Oh, I'm not "grandpa driving" the car; it's just hard for me to resist redline.....Honda's live at the redline!  I'm gradually increasing my rpm ranges, varying speeds, and all that other good stuff.

As for why I chose the Fusion, is kinda a long story (I'll try to make it short)-  The first car I actually purchased was a 00 VW Jetta-VR6: purchased with the Driver's Option (like a Smart Buy)-that car was totalled after 4 months.
Liked it so much, did a Driver's Option on a 01 Jetta VR6: Had it while I was in college, it ate PREMIUM gas at 2 tanks twice a week....too much gas and expensive maintenance for a poor college student!
Traded that in on a 03 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe-  My first Honda...probably my last...engine was wonderful, build quality SUCKED!  It didn't handle as well as I thought.  I leased since I was in school and didn't drive that much, but now that I'm out of college (finally), I will be driving more.  I felt too restricted in the lease and really wanted to get out of it.

I wanted a 07 Camry XLE-V6, but optioned out like the Accord or Fusion was gonna cost upwards of $30 grand....and I wanted to finance for the first time.  So, I had to find a car that was less than $26K, had at least the same equipment level as the Accord---------TADA, I got the Fusion (X-Plan helped a lot too).

To tell the truth, I said I would never buy a Ford or GM product, but this vehicle has REALLY surprised me and I am extremely happy!   Sorry I actually made this long!

Here are some pictures.....like you need more stock ones!

Nice pics! Poor build quality on the Honda - it does happen, I'm glad you mentioned it. Wow, you certainly has some nice rides while in college.

Thanks ColdFusion, nice pics!!

Really like the 2 tone interior, with the dark on the top of the doors and dash, and the lighter colour on the bottom.

In Canada we do not have this split combo interior choice.

Thanks!  Yeah, the 2 tone was actually unexpected for me.  I thought it was going to be 1 color.  Next, I've got to get some all weather mats....don't want to mess up the carpet!

Edit: It has the Med. Light Stone Interior

Thats good info Cudos.  I was told by my Ford salesperson that the 2 tone was not offered in Canada, plus on the ford.ca site, there is no mention of the 2 tone.

Cudos, is the 2 tone offered on both SE and SEL variants?

Also I have not seen any Fusion's in Canada with this, did you order factory order the Med.Lt.Stone.

And looking at ColdFusion's pics, the seats look to be beige or sand colour in his car, is this colour the same in your car?

as far as I know it is, I have seen pics, only thing is that the cloth is a different pattern.
I have seen a few SE's on the lots with the Med Lt stone 2 tone, and that is also what
mine is, I too have an SEL

Sorry for the delay, yes, yes and yes, I factory ordered mine but there was other Fusions on the lot with the same interior. Yes the SE and SEL are available with that trim. I'm pretty sure that salesman is mis-informed.

Good Luck

Yes, my question was regarding the pax front seat. So it is safe to assume the pax front seat even though manual, does not have the tilt adjustment for the seat cushion, as I am sure the seat back reclines.

I find that Ford front pax seats (at least in Ford cars) are not very comfortable on long drives because you cannot tlit the seat cushion.
