Oh, I'm not "grandpa driving" the car; it's just hard for me to resist redline.....Honda's live at the redline! I'm gradually increasing my rpm ranges, varying speeds, and all that other good stuff.
As for why I chose the Fusion, is kinda a long story (I'll try to make it short)- The first car I actually purchased was a 00 VW Jetta-VR6: purchased with the Driver's Option (like a Smart Buy)-that car was totalled after 4 months.
Liked it so much, did a Driver's Option on a 01 Jetta VR6: Had it while I was in college, it ate PREMIUM gas at 2 tanks twice a week....too much gas and expensive maintenance for a poor college student!
Traded that in on a 03 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe- My first Honda...probably my last...engine was wonderful, build quality SUCKED! It didn't handle as well as I thought. I leased since I was in school and didn't drive that much, but now that I'm out of college (finally), I will be driving more. I felt too restricted in the lease and really wanted to get out of it.
I wanted a 07 Camry XLE-V6, but optioned out like the Accord or Fusion was gonna cost upwards of $30 grand....and I wanted to finance for the first time. So, I had to find a car that was less than $26K, had at least the same equipment level as the Accord---------TADA, I got the Fusion (X-Plan helped a lot too).
To tell the truth, I said I would never buy a Ford or GM product, but this vehicle has REALLY surprised me and I am extremely happy! Sorry I actually made this long!
Here are some pictures.....like you need more stock ones!
