They got it pretty good for the Fusion, but they lack in the ratings of my 1990 Mustang GT as well as my '03 GT Convertible. I get better than what they say.

Why are you guys getting such low ratings? I used to average 30, mixed city and Highway, then the put the winter fuel in and i average about 28.5. my only mods are K&N drop in filter and Royal Purple Synthetic Oil. on trips I go about 600mile til she says 0 miles left til empty. BTW I've gone 20 miles on 0 miles to emply.

The feds now rate the 2007 V6 AWD Fusion at 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway instead of 19 and 26. Makes no difference in my case, still getting 13 mpg city.

Took it in to the dealer around 1,500 miles. The shop foreman road tested it for 23 miles out on the highway, where it achieved 24 mpg. He said the car was right on, specifications wise. The dealer provided me with a printout showing the results. So, long story short, the dealer did nothing. They told me they would check it again at 5,000 miles when it gets its first oil and filter change.

During a 360-mile trip Feb. 2-3 the car delivered 26.5 going and 24.2 returning. That's satisfactory. It is the 13 mpg in city (95 percent of our driving) that is killing me. We like most everything about the car EXCEPT for the horrific mileage in city driving, which is stop and go but not bumper to bumper.

Our terrain is as flat as a pool table. The climate is mild (56 degrees Feb. 24). The tires are properly inflated and we are conservative, gentle drivers. I think it's time we started dogging it a little to loosen up the parts. It has about 1,800 miles on it and was purchased Dec. 4.

the weather was bad for me today with ice on the highway and i was doing about 100 km/h and got 37 mpg or 6.3L per 100 km's. Needless to say the drive sucked but those ratings made me happy
