Sorry but I don't see where people a Taurus in that photo, it is similar yes but all of the lines are differently located and at different angles. I just can't say that I would ever believe that that photo started as a photo of a Taurus, there would be way too much work into that to just fool a few people.
I couldn't agree more, I have always loved the AU Falcon with the RWD v8's. This new Focus would be the next best thing. I saw one at the Dream Cruise, looks so sick. I would part from my beloved fuse over this one... RIGHT HERE:

they need to stop screwing around and bring up the falcon from AU. RWD 400+HP in a sedan, thats what i want DAMN YOU FORD!!! :rocket: I would rather drop 38K on that over a sho. As for the mondeo nahh i think it will be the same undercarrage but doubt we will get that as the US market is treated like the bastard child when it comes to ford's awsome cars!!!!

I don't know who wouldn't pass on a Fusion if they had the cash for an RS that was available in the US!

I say there's no question it's a Photoshopped Taurus. There are way too many little details that match up for no reason other than they were not eliminated in the conversion. I assume the alternative would be to Photoshop a current Mondeo to show how it could evolve. Here's one for reference. Notice the smooth roof and lack of ditch moldings at the door tops:

Now look at the front view of the "Future Mondeo" from the article. Notice the roof construction with ditch moldings and character lines about 4" inboard of that:

Guess what? The Taurus roof is identical! The black tint pattern around the windshield is also a perfect match. The area where the hood and A-pillar come together also matches the Taurus and not the Mondeo -- note the additional horizontal line at the base of the A-pillar.

As I noted above, the rear fascia parting lines perfectly match the Taurus fascia, even including the extension through the rear wheel arch that results in the odd piece just behind the rear door. If doing a concept vehicle rendering, why include that unusual detail? The character line on the rear fascia below the trunk lid is also identical to the one on the Taurus, as is the bottom of the trunk lid. The rear of the current Mondeo is totally different.

The "Future Mondeo" clearly has a Taurus instrument panel visible through the side window with its unique, squared-off double binnacle style. Here is the present Mondeo I/P for reference. Again, wouldn't you expect a concept rendering to look more like the present Mondeo than a Taurus?

The last detail that does it for me are the seat tops and headrests seen clearly in the front view. They are right out of the Taurus, and again the current Mondeo is different.
