After a gruelling 9 days of looking, I'm getting a letter of offer tommorrow from the company I was most excited about.  Their known for being rather generous, so I'm sure it'll be fine.  Then I just need to resign from my current job on monday, watch my boss shit his pants, and take 2 weeks to get the last 4 years of accumulated knowledge documented for the next poor sucker.

Next stop, north western production engineer for Bonavista Energy Trust.

Woohoo! Offer came through, I'm very pleased. I'll read through the details this weekend, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

I'm an oil and gas production engineer, and in my new role I'll me doing everythign except the drilling.

Completing and Equiping Wells, reserviour management, pipelining, production forcasting, workovers. Basically in my new role I'll be responsible for about 5,000 bbl of production/day (or about US$150,000,000 worth of properties, US$250,000 daily production). I make sure everything gets done as quickly as possible and as efficient as possible.

This new company is known for being one of the strongest technically, and has a very successful management team. So it's a good resume builder. The extra salary & stock options aren't too bad either. It's crazy up here for engineers with practical experience. I've gotten 3 calls today from companies asking me to hold off until they can get me an offer.

Speaking of new jobs....

The company I currently work with is going to be branching off and creating a new partnership with another company in town to do wholesale distribution of new and used computers (used from us, new from them).

I get to run the whole thing, as well as travel the entire BC Province selling merchandise to all the Joe Blow Computer stores in the middle of no-where with no buying power.  I'm very very excited!  I get to be part of the entire process as well as coming up with a new name for this company (which is actually pretty damn hard since there's 4 trillian computer company's out there!).  So in about a week or once we get everything going I will be going travelling for about 2 weeks or so.  Very nice opportunity for me to see the province of BC to its full capacity and get paid for it at the same time .

So my new title is Wholesale Sales Manager!
