Ford Motor Company has approved the production of the Ford Focus Vignale. The concept was originally introduced at the Paris Motor Show.
The Focus Vignale features a retractable hardtop offering customers a convertible and a coupe in one package.
A name for the production version has not been selected, however, it is scheduled to go into production in late 2006. The new European Focus was specifically designed to accept a convertible version.
The Focus Vignale will be co-designed with Ford by Pininfarnia spA of Italy. Pininfarnia will also be responsible for building the product at their Turin plant.
