Congrats, good to see another Canadian here, I'm in Toronto. crappy thing is that I'm still waiting formy car
[/quote]
Waiting? We have TONS of Fusions in BC!!! My dealer has 13 of them on the LOT!! alone... not to mentio the other 5 dealerships i know of in BC!! 1.9% Lease
yeah I'm still waiting, I asked them to factory order the car (8 - 10 weeks) becasue I'm trying to get out of a lease on another car that's not up until may.
They had quite a few on the lot but I opted for the 2.3 Sel wirh black leather, but I had to get automatic due to the wife. I'm still yet to see an sel with those options on the lot.
I should have it in a few more very painful weeks.
They hAD 2 of the SEL Auto w/ Leather. One Black and a White
Just ask you dealer to do a dealer trade. Car can be traind over in 1 week. I optedd for a SE blk 5spd. I love manual, so much more control, BUT i dont like leather and sunroof I am quite tall and with sunroom, it rub my head... drives me nuts! But i do like the SEL wheels, so I got those comming..hehe I am gonna trade my SE Mags for the SEl mags... Flat tarde
I found a totaled sel at a yard already, but wheels are fine. It skid and hit a lamp post on the engine head on. Does not look too bad but since the frame and engine is gone, the SEL is a write of.
I guess I could have pressed them to find the car on another dealership, but I wasn't in a hurry to get the car (I guess I thought I had more patience than I really do!!)
as I still have my 02' civic.
The lease is up in May and I've got some family members that may need a car really soon and want to buy it if they can get the money together.
If it doesn't work out for the civic at least I'll have my Fusion to be happy with in just a few more weeks.
I didn't like the sunroof either as I'm 6'2'' and it cramps the headroom, but I loved the leather with the contrasting stitching. What do you fiind wrong with it?
The leather is too hard. I prefer the softer leather like on our Honda Odessy. BUT i love the contrast stich... reminds me of a Couch Bag or wallett
I am planning on installing aftermarket BABY lamps leather costa like $1100 only. CHEAPER than factory, and I get it in the doors and steering as well.
DID YOU GET YOUR TWO YEARS OF REGULAR MAINTENANCE FOR FREE?
FUSION ONE,
Did you get the recent letter/certificate that was sent out by Ford of Canada? Allowing anyone who places an order (buy or lease) before Mar.31, that they will receive 2 years No-charge scheduled maintenance (sounds similar to Lincoln's 4 years of free maintenance plan).
The letter I received mentions PROGRAM#: 30063 and that's with 0.9% financing
hope this helps you out.
good luck!

lammer do know where there is any information on this? There is nothing on the Ford of Canada website. Is there a phone number on that letter?
Nope, I didn't get anything like that. :x but it sounds sweet. I placed the order for the car on 01/07/06 and I'm still waiting, as you've probably seen, the reasons are above. also thanks for the heads-up. I'm gonna try the ford customer realationship centre and see if they can give me some more info.
I've got 2 questions:
1) If the order for the car is already placed, do you think I'll stilll qualify for the program?
2) Why did ford send the letter, have you bought cars from ford in the past, or did you just buy/lease a new fusion?

1) I would definitely mention it to your salesman, and if he/she plays dumb insist on talking to the sales manager. Tell them they were sent out through the marketing depart. I think I got it because I signed up on the Ford.ca website for any news or offers regarding the Fusion. I have bought all my cars from Ford (SVTF, Freestar, Windstar, Explorer, Explorer Sport, Ranger, Probe, Escort)

nope... no phone number
however,
tell them about it ... and see if they'll honour it for you too.
It came from David Greenberg, Vice President of general marketing, FoMoCo Canada
Thanks lammer, I'm gonna call the dealership tomorrow. I spoke to him today and I'll get the car the last week of March, but I forgot to ask about this.
Gonna see what they'll do about the program tomorrow.
