Dude, I have the exact same issue. It's usually between 1/4 and 3/4 inch higher on the passenger side. My rear coils are bottomed out, both at max low.
If you figure it out, let me know.
So an interesting turn of events today. I measured my heights again after work and now the back is almost even but the front got off by 1/4". I'm thinking maybe its the gas tank. When I first measured it my tank was completely full. After driving for a combined hour and 1/2 it changed. Do you know how full your tank was when you measured?
nice howcome you didnt go with 40 series? ohh yeah what brand are those wheels?
I wanted to get a mild stretch on the tire while still maintaining the same overall diameter of my original 17's. 225/45/18 is only .1" bigger than the original 225/50/17 while giving me a mild stretch on an 8.5 wheel. I could have gone with a 235/40/18 which would have also gave me roughly the same diameter, but then the tire would stick out over the lip of the wheel. In other words, I would not have any stretch, which makes it harder to lower the car without rubbing; not to mention I don't like how that looks.
I found this website gives you a pretty accurate idea of how the tire will sit over the wheel if you need to figure it out in the future:

I got the wheels from wagen-wheels.com, they are their WW1 model. They're really just some cheap BBS LM replicas. I've always loved the LM's but could never justify spending $4000 on a set of wheels. The WW1's were the only LM reps I found that come in our bolt pattern, with the +30 offset, and all silver. Privat has some decent LM reps in our size but they only sell them with a grey center, which I didn't want. Plus from my VW days I knew that the WW1's were a decent wheel.
I'm on ST's. The rear really doesn't go low enough for my liking. I've got about 1/2 inch of rake. My fronts have 3-4 threads left and the rears are bottomed out at max low.
Thats surprising. it could be that you're running 19's or maybe its a difference between the 1st and 2nd gens? I'm tucking a little bit of tire in the rear as I am right now but I can clearly see a little wheel gap with yours. I think taking out your perches will set you right though; I have a feeling your car will look even better when you get lower on those wheels. I still think you should blackout your headlights though :winker:
