Manual, makes a huge difference when racing. You are able to rev the engine for longer periods and you decide on when to shift. Don't feel bad, the Sentra-R is no slacker by any means... Its power to weight ratio is also better than the Fusion. The Fusion has respectable 0-60 numbers for its class. 7.4 is not bad...

Just remember, at the end of the day you are driving your beautiful Fusion and he is still driving a Sentra!

If it was a SPEC V then it has a 175hp 2.5 with 6 speed manual. If just an R, then it is only 165hp with a 4 speed auto. They're not much to look at.
Enjoy your car! Its not really the best at any one thing, but it was in my estimation the best compromise. Providing enjoyable performance, great styling, a quiet refined ride, and reasonable gas mileage at a purchase price I could afford.
If you care about ALL those things you'll continue to appreciate, and enjoy your fusion for a long time. If on the other hand you weight other things as more important you might find some of the vehicles I rejected a better fit.
I looked at a Mustang-GT, Charger, Crossfire for performance (use too much gas, or kinda ugly)
I looked at the Celica-GT, RSX, Scion for economic performance (unrefined, bouncy, noisy ride)
I looked at the TL, CTS, 325 for refined performance (cost way to much to buy)
Then one day someone recommended I test drive a fusion, SOLD!
Soooo .. if you don't wanna get taken by cheap supped up econo boxes, go get something like a Mustang-GT, add turbo or nitrous (or both), and you'll be able to melt half your tires onto the pavement anytime you want.

just know your FUsion....what i mean by that is that this car has dead spots between 20mph and 35mph....so make sure you GUN it at 16...17..so you get a good pull..i know you will feel it......if you are on the freeway do it 60mph and you get a good pull......70 and 80 is a no no....90mph is ahh ok pull.........i have a V6 with 20 inch rims its droped and i have no problem when facing any Honda(any year) or v6 mustang(new/auto) or a v8 durango RT(02)....z28 with auto tranny(95)....wich is quick ill say....and the whole thing is ....know your car....hear it ...feel it....and know the cars limits with out hurting anyone but your self...j/k.....get your ECU flashed.....FUSIONS are the [glow=red,2,300]best[/glow]...and since not that many people have them lets show them offff....power 2 all the fusion Crew... :rb:.....ill post pic of my soon to be istalled nos kit...and HID lights......
